Looking back at the time between now and my last post, I can say that a few things have changed in my life.
In the space of a year, I got married and moved from Portugal to Latvia.
My wife and I are now living in a small, quiet city in the countryside. A welcome change of pace from the busy center of Lisbon.
These big changes have been amazing and I only regret not making them sooner. What’s perhaps more noteworthy is that most things haven’t actually changed.
I’m still working the same job. I’m eating the same food. I’m running less and lifting more but my fitness level is much the same. I’m not broke and I’ve not become a millionaire.
I want to do more and be better. At 31, I’m feeling my age and keenly aware of the passing of time.
I want to catch up to where I thought I would be by now.
I have more thoughts and ideas of what this all means but I’m going to keep this post deliberately short.
Our digital world is constantly vying for our attention, and I’ve felt my sense of self fading in the face of that. I’m hoping that a more consistent blog posting schedule will help to keep me oriented.
More posts to come.
